Focus:  Focus is to set the athletes path in freestyle with having fun and developing skiing/freestyle skills all over the mountain.  Athletes will spend their time with our Freestyle Canada certified coaches in Moguls, Park and Pipe and Big Mountain learning fundamental skills.  Group sizes will be 6 athletes per coach.  Athletes must be comfortable skiing blue runs all over the mountain and self-sufficient in getting around on their own with being fully parallel on lower mtn.  Athletes will have access to Fernie Freestyle's private slopestyle and mogul training courses.

Some in-house and away competitions will be offered for those that are ready.  (If you attend any away competitions there will be added coaching expenses ($50/day) outside of the program you choose, and coaching travel costs will be split between the athletes that attend). We are planning on hosting a Regional event in Fernie in March which is perfect event to start a Funstylerz competition pathway.

Safety is our top priority, and each group will have a coach and tail gunner for each session.  Tail gunners will be parent volunteers or Jr coaches.  Each family will be assigned 3 days over the season to tail gun the group.  You will have an option of paying $200 for all 3 sessions for a paid coach replacement.   If you don’t show up for your day assigned to you, you will be billed.  This is to ensure athlete safety with loading and unloading the lifts.  A goggle drive will go out before we start to select dates.  Note all tail gunnars must have a valid Freestyle BC membership(FREE) and a valid police check.  Details will follow to get set up for your sessions.

For further added foundation work we have weekly Winter Trampoline for our Funstylerz.  This is all about setting up strong air skills using our trampolines.  Registration option for Wed night trampoline training starting in Jan running weekly in Fernie can be added to any winter program.  Times are 5:00-6:30 for FUNSTYLERZ athletes and we have a limited of 6 spots.

*All athletes require a Freestyle Canada/Freestyle BC CLUB membership in addition to program registration.  Optional IFSA membership are required for IFSA events (Big Mountain) if an athlete chooses to do one that FFC targets.
